Let's say you have a telescope featuring a narrow dovetail mounting plate, and a mount equipped with a wide "Losmandy-Style" doevtail saddle. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to securely attach your scope to your mount without spending an arm and a leg? It sure would, and the Orion Wide-to-Narrow dovetail adapter plate is exactly what you need. This adapter plate allow you to increase the versatility of larger non-Orion mounts by allowing attachment of Orion telescopes or tube ring systems that utilize the narrow male mounting bar. Our new Wide-to-Narrow Dovetail Adapter will convert your mount to the narrow "Vixen-style" saddle which accepts the narrow dovetail bars. The adapters are spring loaded, with an e split-clamp design with two large hand knobs. This design allows the saddle to be opened wide for easy drop-in attachment of the dovetail bar.
