Relay Box (LX200 format and Cookbook format)
The relay box is connected to the serial port of the PC and has four isolated relay outputs, which can be used for slewing the telescope in four directions.
Supply voltage: 9-15 VDC
Maximum load at the relay contacts: 24V, 1A
Pinout at the 15-pole output connector: ST-4 compatible
The serial cable to the PC and the cable to the telescope are not included.
If your PC has two RS232 ports (or USB/RS232 converters) then you can use both ports simultaneously:
Connect one RS232 port directly to the FS2's serial (RS232) port, this is used for slewing and GOTO from a planetarium program like GUIDE or TheSky.
Connect the other RS232 port to the relay box, this port is used by the autoguider software.
Of course each of the two software programs on the PC must be configured to use the correct ports.
